     HISTORY & GOVERNMENT OVERVIEW

History class at Cobb Hall is not just another history class.  We feel that a “hands on” approach encourages a true understanding of the material, so the student’s use of history becomes more than just an answer on a test or a forgotten fact! Our classes at Cobb Hall are designed to immerse the student in the information through projects, guest speakers and open class discussions. Our Government class is designed so that our students truly understand the basics of how our country is run. With these children being our future leaders, it is very important that they learn at an early age how the world around them works. An enjoyable, interactive learning experience can be an unforgettable one!

The scope and sequence of our program is designed to accommodate the fact that history is a series of people, events and facts which occurred in a sequential order.  Developing a proper appreciation and understanding of history requires that it be presented in a time line manner while addressing the developmental levels of the students.
