Ms. Jeannine M. Decker – Founder, Director, Teacher
When asked for her bio, Ms. Jeannine responded “what you see, is what you get”. And that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
When passing by Ms. Jeannine on campus, what you see is a quiet almost shy person. What you really get us a person willing to discuss your child, the next big event, or even the weather when approached. You get a person who listens with compassion and knows when to provide perspective and guidance. You get a person who comes alive with excitement and passion when communicating with the students of SJGS. You get a person whose glass is always half full.
What you see is a lower grade teacher (1st, 2nd, & 3rd). What you really get is a teacher that is firm yet nurturing and naturally earns the greatest respect from students, parents, faculty and staff alike. You get a teacher who not only incorporates innovative teaching methods in her classroom, but used them to create the very philosophy and culture that exists at SJGS today. You get a teacher who had a vision, a calling; to provide a quality education to hundreds of students.
What you see is a simplistic person. What you get is a person who doesn’t require bells and whistles to effectively educate a child. Traditional and cutting edge methodologies are a way of life in Ms. Jeannine’s classroom. What you get is a selfless person who is modest and always ready to turn the spot light onto someone else.
What you see is a person who knows what she wants, when she wants it, especially when it is for the benefit of the students of SJGS. What you get, is just that!
Ms. Jeannine’s vast knowledge and educational experiences paved the way for the vision of SJGS. Fortunately for us, her dream came true. Ms. Jeannine is a proven multi-tasker. As Founder, Director, Administrator, Passport Specialist and Grade Teacher, Ms. Jeannine’s passion is teaching children. She truly treasures her time in both the lower and middle grades classrooms.
Ms. Jeannine is a person of great integrity, compassion, candor, and faith. She possesses an undeniable commitment to the students, parents, and teachers of SJGS.
