WELCOME TO PURVIS HALL
Purvis Hall is home to both Lower and Upper Gamma classes. Purvis is designed to be a segway between Decker and Cobb Halls. Skills and behaviors learned in the Beta years are practiced, polished and advanced to new levels with a secured foundation. Opportunities for growth and maturity abound in Purvis Hall allowing students to become independent and self-directed. Both of these skills are necessary for a successful student career.
Purvis Hall teachers apply a combined Traditional and Montessorian approach to daily lessons. In keeping with the experiential philosophy of SJGS, projects in and out of class are a focus. Teachers are assigned to Purvis by their areas of expertise and rotate between classes within Purvis Hall. One teacher serves as Hall Coordinator to keep communications between home and school smooth and flowing.

LOWER GAMMA CLASS - Grade 2
The Lower Gamma Class at SJGS demonstrates continued success at an advanced level. Students find themselves challenged with dynamic learning experiences as they mature socially in campus wide activities.
Our interactive learning environment ensures innovative learning that will last a lifetime.
UPPER GAMMA CLASS - Grade 3
The Upper Gamma Class is filled with fun adventures in learning. Guided by a commitment to hard work and
determination to succeed, these 3rd graders progress rapidly toward strengthening their educational foundation.
During the day, outdoor fellowship, academic concentration and creative hands on classes complete
the picture of a busy day in the life of a SJGS 3rd grader.
